Players' Code of Conduct

As a member of the Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS program, I am committed to upholding the values and standards that define our community. This commitment is reflected in the following principles, which I pledge to adhere to at all times:

Commitment to Sportsmanship and Respect

1. Abide by the Rules: I will follow all the rules of hockey, adhere to the policies set by Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS, and embody the principles of good sportsmanship.
2. Respect for All: I will show respect towards my teammates, coaches, team officials, referees, opponents, opposing coaches, opposing team officials, and all other participants in Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS games, practices, and other association activities.
3. Inclusive Language: I will not make derogatory comments related to another individual's race, ethnic origin, color, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
4. Positive Interactions: I will refrain from putting others down or engaging in actions or words that could harm someone physically or emotionally.

Personal and Team Development

1. Skill Improvement: I will work diligently to improve my skills both as an individual and as a team player.
2. Safety and Responsibility: I will act safely and responsibly during games, practices, and all Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS activities.
3. Team Support: I will support my teammates, including those who are less skillful, both on and off the ice.

Attendance and Participation

1. Attendance Commitment: I will attend all practices and games. If I am unable to attend due to a legitimate reason, I will inform my coach with as much advance notice as possible.
2. Punctuality and Preparation: I will be on time and ready to begin games or practices according to the schedule set by the coach and tournament committee.
3. Position Play: I will play any position assigned to me by my coach to the best of my ability.

Conduct and Behavior

1. Emotional Control: I will maintain my temper and composure during games, practices, and Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS activities.
2. Respectful Behavior: I will avoid any behavior or activities that could cause embarrassment or disrespect to my team or Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS. This includes refraining from smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs.
3. Locker Rooms: I will show respect for the locker rooms by ensuring that I clean up after myself.
4. Facilities & Equipment: I will refrain from placing my game jersey in my bag, and I will treat all equipment rented from Fresh Ice Hockey with respect. Additionally, I will honor the facilities where we play, including the common areas and restaurant.
5. Respect: Players must demonstrate respect towards all tournament committee members, organizers, referees, and coaches.

By following these guidelines, I aim to contribute positively to the Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS community, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

En tant que membre du programme Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS, je m'engage à respecter les valeurs et les normes qui définissent notre communauté. Cet engagement se reflète dans les principes suivants, que je m'engage à respecter en tout temps :

Engagement envers l'esprit sportif et le respect

1. Respecter les règles : Je suivrai toutes les règles du hockey, adhérerai aux politiques établies par Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS et incarnerai les principes d'un bon esprit sportif.
2. Respect de tous : Je ferai preuve de respect envers mes coéquipiers, entraîneurs, officiels d’équipe, arbitres, adversaires, entraîneurs adverses, officiels d’équipe adverse et tous les autres participants aux matchs, entraînements et autres activités de l’association Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS.
3. Langage inclusif : je ne ferai pas de commentaires désobligeants liés à la race, à l’origine ethnique, à la couleur, à la religion, au sexe ou à l’orientation sexuelle d’une autre personne.
4. Interactions positives : Je m’abstiendrai de rabaisser les autres ou de m’engager dans des actions ou des paroles qui pourraient blesser quelqu’un physiquement ou émotionnellement.

Développement personnel et d'équipe

1. Amélioration des compétences : Je travaillerai avec diligence pour améliorer mes compétences en tant qu’individu et en tant que joueur d’équipe.
2. Sécurité et responsabilité : J'agirai de manière sûre et responsable pendant les matchs, les entraînements et toutes les activités de Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS.
3. Soutien de l’équipe : Je soutiendrai mes coéquipiers, y compris ceux qui sont moins habiles, sur et hors de la glace.

Présence et participation

1. Engagement de présence : J'assisterai à tous les entraînements et matchs. Si je ne peux pas y assister pour une raison légitime, j'en informerai mon entraîneur le plus tôt possible.
2. Ponctualité et préparation : Je serai à l'heure et prêt à commencer les matchs ou les entraînements selon le calendrier établi par l'entraîneur et le comité du tournoi.
3. Jeu de position : je jouerai à n’importe quel poste qui me sera assigné par mon entraîneur au mieux de mes capacités.

Conduite et comportement

1. Contrôle émotionnel : Je garderai mon sang-froid et mon sang-froid pendant les matchs, les entraînements et les activités de Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS.
2. Comportement respectueux : J'éviterai tout comportement ou activité qui pourrait embarrasser ou manquer de respect à mon équipe ou à Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS. Cela comprend le fait de m'abstenir de fumer, de boire de l'alcool ou de consommer des drogues.
3. Vestiaires : Je ferai preuve de respect envers les vestiaires en veillant à nettoyer après moi.
4. Installations et équipement : Je m'abstiendrai de mettre mon maillot de jeu dans mon sac et je traiterai tout l'équipement loué à Fresh Ice Hockey avec respect. De plus, je respecterai les installations où nous jouons, y compris les espaces communs et le restaurant.
5. Respect : Les joueurs doivent faire preuve de respect envers tous les membres du comité du tournoi, les organisateurs, les arbitres et les entraîneurs.

En suivant ces directives, je vise à contribuer positivement à la communauté Fresh Ice Hockey/NHLKIDS, en garantissant un environnement respectueux, inclusif et agréable pour toutes les personnes impliquées.
